Real fire
Charcoal grilling, cooked to order.
DarMisk began with one charcoal grill and a family recipe book. Today we still cook the way we always have: slowly, over real fire, with food made to be shared.
Before DarMisk was a restaurant, it was a family kitchen. The busiest room in the house was always the one with the grill. Weekends meant skewers lined up on the counter, bread warming on the fire and more people at the table than chairs to seat them.
Our recipes came from that kitchen. We wrote them down, argued over them and improved them, but we never lost their spirit. When we opened our doors, we wanted guests to feel what we felt at those tables: welcome, well fed and in no hurry to leave.
“Dar” means house. “Misk” means musk, a scent loved across the Arab world as a sign of welcome and generosity. To us, DarMisk is a house that smells of charcoal, spices and fresh bread, where the door stays open.

From the ingredients we prepare each morning to the charcoal flames at the heart of our kitchen, everything at DarMisk is made with care.
